This is the 4th box in the ENNISBROOK series so you need to look at that set of clues for all the boxes. The original 4th box went missing as of 9/29/04, possibly fallen to the bottom of the tree, but lacking a ferret we are unable to confirm this. Thanks to Don & Gwen Jackson for adding this one! Continue on path until you come to a prone giant. From the roots of the giant head back 25 paces towards Alex G Woodpecker. On the east side of the trail at 5 paces from the trail Whoo's nest is in the end of a stumpy limb 5 ft high on the back of a tree.(These are the original directions.)
NEWS ABOUT the 4th LETTERBOX in ENNISBROOK: The Owl (formerly Whoo) is back! With Ron's gracious permission john&kathy were able to carve a new stamp & set up a new nest. The clues are exactly the same EXCEPT that the nest now resides in a hollow in the main bole, with a keeper string attached. 9/1/05
** BONUS ** Look carefully in his letterbox because Whoo is now passing out clues to a near-by "cuckoo".
Whoo is much loved...five folks have lent their talents to his creation & survival!
P.S. If you are looking for lots more letterboxes, check out Summerland - it is a delightful tiny town right next door to Montecito.
