Update May 2014: I have it on good authority this box is missing. That is no reason not to make a stop at this awesome place, though.

Take it Easy at this historic Mary Colter-designed hotel in the town where they've dedicated Standing on the Corner Park. What a find! Originally created for Fred Harvey as a railroad wayside, it is now being restored and is a wonderful place for a weary traveler to stop over. The food is heaven! Try the prickly pear cornbread pudding for breakfast or dessert...oh my, mmmmmmmmmm... I wanted to plant more than one box here, but could only take the time to do the one. Other planters, be my guest! I will definitely be returning to this haven.

The MimbreƱo hare image was taken from a design on the original china, which was created by Colter after designs on pottery made by the ancient Mimbres peoples. To track it down, stroll from the entrance on the RR side to a semi-circular patio. Sit on the NE stone bench (next to a low stucco wall) and skootch over to the end closest to the tracks. The hare is hiding behind a rock under that back corner of bench. As always, please re-hide securely! Take some time to explore the hotel, have a meal, admire the art of Tina Mion, the owner's wife.
