This box is at Lake Louisa State park on Hwy 27 in Clermont, FL. The trails are open 8:00 a.m. - 1 hour before sunset. Well behaved pets are welcome, but mut be on a 6 foot leash. There is currently a $5.00 per car entrance fee.

This is an easy, short walk. Probably not suitable for a wheelchair, but a stroller should make it ok. I'm not good at distances, but I would guess it's 1/2 - 3/4 mile round trip.

After entering the park, turn right toward the campground. Go through the "congested area" to the parking lot at the lake. On the right, as you enter the parking lot, is the nature trail. This is where you will start your trek.

Take the nature trail East.
Stop to learn about the bracken, hay scented and cinnamon ferns.
Read about the Green Swamp matrix.
Stop for a rest on the bench built by Troop 133. Thank you, scouts!
Keep going at the end of the boardwalk.
Soon you will come to a trail on the left. It looks like it may get very muddy at times, but you want to take it.
Go to the top of the sandy hill.
Find Cheryl's Lookout.
Read about the Cypress Swamps. (I have been informed that this sign is now gone)
To the left of the sign is an oak tree with palms at the base.
At the base of this tree, on the west side, covered with leaves is the Happy Hopper.
Remember to poke with a stick first.
Please make sure to re-cover the box well. You should not be able to see the box!
