This is a neat one. Find Stump Pass beach in Englewood. You will have to pay a $2.00 fee as you enter the parking lot. Park your car and look for the bathroom building. If you go there, behind it starts the nature trail. There ae signs marking it. The full length of the trail is 1.3 miles. be sure to finish the trail after finding the box so you can see the porpoises at the lagoon. There were lots of them out today.

CLue: Start at the beginning of the nature trail path. go past the boardwalk. Keep walking. there will be a 4 way intersection, go straight through it and stay on the path. when you see the Stump Pass beach sign, proceed on trail . Pass a picnic table with a roof. stay on trail. Keep going, you will walk along a small beach. keep going on trail. see another beach sign. stay on trail. Walk under a canopy of trees on trail. Soon you will see on your left 2 large stumps with a board nailed to them to make a bench. The box is hidden in the stump further back in a hollow in it. It is covered with bark to hide it. Stamp in here. Please rehide it well in same spot and you may have to walk in the brush to get behind the stump. This area is subject to flooding so make sure you rehide in the same spot I hid it in to keep it off the ground.

You will need your own pen, and inkpad or markers to stamp in. Be careful as this is a private and quiet walk but there are people on the trail all the time. every once in awhile you will cross paths with another person(s) on the trail. be discreet. This is a lovely walk, very peaceful and pretty. Bring water and a camera.
