This was inspired by a stamp found today in a dollar bin at Michael’s. The FIRST one to find it will also get the LEPRECHAUN TREASURE.
This is hidden along the new Q Trail in Meriden. The trail starts by the Red Bridge at the corner of Oregon and River Roads. Parking for the trail is in a lot just north of the trail on Oregon Rd. Parking at the trailhead is marked for handicapped only.
Start out on the paved trail. About where the yellow line ends, turn right and walk uphill through the trees. This is muddy if it’s wet. Walk to what looks to be the end of the trail as it seems to turn around and come back out again. You will see power lines here.
Between the first power tower (the one you see as you emerge from the trail) and the next one, a small path opens up to the right. As you start down the path, you see 2 trees ahead of you that seem to hug each other about 15 feet up. Go to these trees.
Take a compass reading of about 220º and walk to a group of 7 trees growing together. The letterbox is tucked in the center of the group.
