Box #2 is missing.

Directions:
On route 20 turn onto Holcomb Street (same traffic light as Newgate Road) go 0.1 miles and park on the left (limited space)

These trails have been used for other activities besides hiking so be sure that you stay on the Blue trail and not some side path used for these other purposes.

Slow:
Go into the woods and find blue blazes, go uphill on the blue trail (the whole hike is on the blue) and come to a place where there's a dune-like hummock on the left. Walking up to it and looking over will show you a sand/gravel pit (?) You follow this pit/dune for quite a while and at one point it levels out so that you see the "pit" from the trail (maybe not with foliage on the trees). Shortly after this go down a steep hill...at the foot is a large boulder (this boulder is a bit obscured with summer growth around it) and a three sister tree to the left of the trail. From the tree take a reading of 30 degrees, walk 25 feet off trail to the NW base of a two sister tree.

And Slower:
Go down another hill with a fence on the right, through a swamp-like area, noticing that the dune is still up high on the left. Up and down a few times passing a "seat" tree on the left and finally (almost at the top) a twisty, leaning good sized white birch tree, also on the left. Not far past this tree is a 40 foot tall, spikey broken off snag (oh no, the dreaded snag word :-) about 15 feet off trail to the left. Look behind this for Slower.

Recover completely. It could be seen by illegal bikers from above.

Thanks for the visit.
