This box is located in Guilford on one of the Westwoods trails.
Westwoods is off route 1 between exits 57 and 58 from I95. Turn onto Peddlars Road from route 1 across from Bishops Orchard store. Trail maps can be obtained at Bishops and at the Guilford Community Center.
From the parking lot off Peddlars Road take the white blazed trail. A vernal pool will be up ahead on the left in spring and fall. Continue on white trail down a small hill. A stone wall wil be on your left. When white trail splits take a left and go down a hill. You will still be on the white trail. Go over a plank bridge. At the end of the bridge take a right onto the yellow blazed trail.
Take the yellow trail up a hill along a large rock outcropping. You will come to a grove of Mountain Laurel. Stay on yellow trail climbing a rock ledge. Follow trail through crevice in large rock formation. It is kind of a tight squeeze. You can go around it if you wish. As you exit crevice turn to the right. Just down and outside of the exit is a long large rock. The box is hidden below it.
At this point you can turn back the way you came or enjoy more of Westwoods. You can continue on yellow until you see green trail. Go left on green then left on orange. The trail will then take you through another large rock formation. You can then follow the orange trail back to the white trail and then back to the parking lot.
To go just to the letterbox and back takes about 45 min. The longer loop trail would take about an hour.
