The Green Fern Letterbox was placed by the Berlin Historical Society.

Directions: From points South of Berlin: Take Ct-9N. Then take the CT-71 exit- EXIT 24- on the LEFT toward KENSINGTON. Then the first right hand exit. Turn LEFT at the light onto CT-71 / NEW BRITAIN RD. Go straight through the next light. Turn RIGHT at the following light onto Farmington Ave. Take first left onto Peck st. (Peck St is one way on Sundays until 1pm). Go past St. Paul's Church and park at the Berlin Historical Society Museum formerly the original Peck Library (Last building on the right).

Clue: From the parking lot go up the little hill and through the gate into the Marjorie Moore Bird Sanctuary (steps to be installed in Spring 2007). Once inside looking straight and slightly to the right find the light colored bird house with a red roof. Go towards the tree with this birdhouse. Scan the park until you see the seating area. Just beyond the seating area follow the path with the hand made railing to the bottom of the hill. Your treasure awaits behind the first largest tree, Don't run into it. The box is at the base under a small cairn (pile of rocks) on the side facing the museum. Once found please replace the rocks and rehide well.

Bonus: Once you have found the main box, look along the chainlink to were the museum's roof overhangs the fence. See the blue bird house on the fence? Please replace the house carefully.
