Placed by At the Crossroads
Start in the true crossroads of America. This is the City the hosts the intersection of one of the most traveled interstate corridors in the United States; where I-70 & I-57 meet. Radio stations WCRA (Cross Roads of America) and WCRC (Cross Roads Country) broadcast from this locale, and this is the home to of one of the largest crosses in the world.
Take Fayette Avenue to Raney Street (between Sacred Heart Church and the Knights of Columbus Hall). Go south on Raney to 1300th Avenue. Go west on 1300th to the parking lot adjacent to one of the largest crosses in the world (X marks the spot).
Rest on one of the benches at the base of the cross, and reflect on the crossroads that you have been presented with, and the paths you have taken, or should be taking. Perhaps listen to Eric Clapton while you rest; you know the song.
Before you leave, head for the light; the light that shines on the cross at night. Within the evergreen shrubs placed to hide the lights is the box you seek.
The stamp is simple but pure. It is the first stamp made by 8-year-old Maddy. Thanks for stopping to visit.
