Time: 15 minutes. Distance ~ 200 yards round trip
Please bring your stamp, a stamp pad, compass, pen and an old rag to wipe off the box/your hands.
The "Safari Man- On The Highway/ and Interstate" series depicts things one might see as they drive the highways of the U.S. These are targeted mainly for rest stops but might pop up anywhere. This letterbox is titled INTERCHANGE AHEAD. Happy traveling!
Clues: Traveling southbound on I-77 , approaching Dover, find the rest stop at about the 84 mm, enter it and go to the last auto parking spot on the right. From your car head south for the last picnic table with the grill on the other side. Stop at the far end of the picnic table and look past the grill to the large wood pile and go to it stopping in front. Look left at the row of youngish pine trees and go to the 4th one. Look right for the multi-trunked hard wood tree and go around back of it. Look about 3 feet up from the base to the fork and in the fork between and under sticks and bark you will find INTERCHANGE AHEAD.
Please be as discrete as you can when retrieving and replacing this letterbox since you might be viewable from the picnic tables and cars located not far away. When done stamping in, please replace the box/pouch as you found it and make sure the zippers for the baggies are closed securely. And if you have time, please be so kind as to let me know the condition of the letterbox by contacting the placer at the top of this clue page.
