This lb is a tribute to my grandmother. She lived all of her life outside of Ellisville. For many years she worked at the state school that you will pass on the way to the cemetery where she is buried. I can still smell my grandmother's kitchen in the morning when she would wake up around 5 am and start cooking homemade biscuits, bacon, sausage, grits, and fried eggs. She was a wonderful, beautiful lady who I still miss today. Her favorite flower was the hydrangea and now you will find her hydrangea planted at Jordan Cemetery outside of Ellisville.

Leave Ellisville on Hwy 11 south headed toward the State School. Turn right on the road just before/at the fenced property for the State School. This road crosses I-59 and continues on to become Hwy 590 West. Continue on for 4 to 5 miles to Pine Grove Community and the road will take a sharp curve to the right. In this curve, turn back to the left at a sharp angle onto Jordan Road between two red brick houses. If you get to Pine Grove Baptist Church (at the curve), you missed the turn. Go 0.9 miles to a VERY small hanging sign on the left for Jordan Cemetery, just after a mailbox marked “Anderson, Box 385”. Turn to the left onto a dirt road.

From the entrance, head toward the diagonal back left corner of the cemetery. Before the pink granite marker for “Jones”, find a large bush inside the fence. The box is right in the middle of this bush, about 1 foot off the ground.

Be sure to look for the “The Coon Hunter” letterbox while at this cemetery.
