The Spider Who Stayed Behind
City of Richmond, VA
Placed 5/11/02 by Ladybug

From late August through early May the beautiful campus of the University of Richmond is crawling with thousands and thousands of "Spiders". They've all gone home for the summer, except one who has found a hiding place. Enjoy the campus and the hunt for
the "Spider Who Stayed Behind".

A stroll over the footbridge across Westhampton Lake will lead you straight-away to a path of wooden steps leading into the woods on the south side of the Lake. Follow the path to the left, past the tennis courts, to the back of the Jenkins Greek Theater. Along the east wall of the amphitheater, even with the 2nd step down is a large tree at 60 degrees. At the base of the tree are logs filling a hollowed section where the Richmond Spider hides.

Stamp in and re-hide it well, as this is a highly used area and the box is likely to be uncovered if not hidden completely from view.
