Rayne, Louisiana, the Frog Capital of the World, displays its civic pride with a giant silver frog at the city limits, and frog murals found all over town. Rayne is also listed in “Ripley’s Believe It or Not!” as having the only cemetery facing north-south. Take time to drive around looking at the murals, especially the one of the “Fais Do Do” frogs at the gazebo on Texas Street. Somewhere in town I came across a mural of a ‘gator cooking up something yummy.
From the main street in town (The Boulevard or Adams Avenue), go east on Oak Street, then right/north-east into Gossen Memorial Park. Drive alongside the softball fields on the left and go to the second footbridge on the right, just before a small white building. Walk to the left side of the bridge. The box is under the bridge on the far side, between the first and second posts. There is a bench nearby where you can stamp in.
