I was told Longhorn Cavern was one of the few river formed caves in Texas. Just down the road is Inks Lake and has been added to the tour. it was pointed out that this lake has the biggest and happies fish and fishermen in Texas.
I have planted this box in Longhorn Cavern State park south of Burnet in Burnet County, is 645.62 acres in rugged hill country. It was dedicated as a state park in 1932.
Among legends about the cave is one that outlaw Sam Bass hid a $2 million cache of stolen money inside.
The structures at the park were built by the C.C.C.

DIRECTIONS:
To get there - you can take HWY 281 bwtween Burnet and Marble Falls then exit Park road 4 for 10 milrs.

CLUES:
Stop at the gift shop and ask for a map. From the porch of the C.C.C. Officers Quaters right on loop D down the path.At 110 paces look right you will see the letter G on a rock where "A Bunch Of Us" is hiden but continue on down the path for another 98 paces and find a rock on the right with a big yellow splotch painted on it.
Face left and take 45 paces to the fishing hole (a rock that holds water from time to time) Turn left and skip to the next big rock (about 8 paces) the letterbox is hidden under the SE edge of that rock.
Please re-cover well
