This box was replaced on May 25, 2012 in the same location.
From I-20, take Hwy 154 to Gibsland. Travel through town on Hwy 154 for about 5 miles. Turn right in Mt. Lebanon to continue on Hwy 154. Continue on for about five miles to a stone marker on the right, memorializing the spot where Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were ambushed and gunned down. Start looking for the stone after about four miles; it’s easy to miss the first time. From the marker, walk straight toward the woods to a tree that is broken in half. The box is at the base of this tree on the left side.
There are two Bonnie and Clyde museums, one about them and one about the ambush that shouldn’t be missed
