I am very sad to say after reports of two attempts we went out to look for the box and it has gone missing and thus is now retired. Thanks to those who went out to find it!

This is the first letterbox I made and placed. If you find it drop me a line and let me know.

This box is located in North East San Antonio at Comanche Lookout Loop. To get to Comanche Lookout Loop from exit 172 on I-35 north of San Antonio, take Loop 1604 west for 1.5 miles to FR 2252, Nacogdoches Road. Head west on Nacogdoches Road, toward San Antonio for 1 mile. The trailhead at Comanche Lookout Park will be on your right.

There are several routes up to the tower of varying lenghts and difficulties. If you remain on the main paved path it will take you to the tower. This clue begins at the tower.

Once you have reached the tower stand with your back against the water fountain and the tower will be directly behind you. There is a metal trail marker sign in front of you and a tall red stick to your right. Take the path to the right. From the water fountain take 45 steps along the paved path (there are two other paths that go off to the left but you want to remain on the paved path.) Once you have gone 45 steps there will be a clump of trees about 10 steps off the path to your left. In the middle of the trees are two stumps. Look behind the four foot stump to find the letterbox, it is covered by sticks and stones.

Please rehide carefully and let me know if you find it.
