Goto Fresh Pond Conservation Area (a.k.a. – Dennis Dog Park)
On Route 134 in South Dennis
Park in lot.
Walk past the dog walk area to the picnic tables near Fresh Pond.
With the pond on your left, walk toward the white posts.
Once on the trail, notice the 1st bench on the left. On the OAK tree
near the bench there is an ORANGE diamond trail marker.
Follow these markers and count them as you go. Cross over a wooden bridge.
You should be passing your 3rd orange diamond. Continue on past the
4th and 5th diamonds. At the 6th orange diamond, there will be a wooden
bench to catch your breath and enjoy the beauty. Turn right at this bench
and continue on along the water’s edge. Be wary of tree roots underfoot.
You will pass the 7th orange diamond on a funky shaped tree. As you
approach the 8th orange marker, look beyond and you will see a BLUE
diamond trail marker.
Proceed down the blue diamond path. Beware the box is near.
Pass by 4 blue diamond markers and look for the leaning tree.
I am hidden below the 5th blue diamond on the leaning tree
nestled in the moss at its base. Congratulations.
