Thank you everybody who found or attempted my letterbox. I am relocating my letterbox to be closer to my new residence. I will update the information when the move is complete.
Happy Birthday Celebration Letterbox is located in Blue Spruce Park. If you are unfamiliar with the park’s location, the best way to get to this park from Downtown Indiana is to turn on to N. 4th Street (Old Rt. 119) from Philadelphia Street. Continue following this road until you see a sign for Rt. 110 which will veer to the left. Take this road. Continue along Rt. 110 until you see signs for the entrance of Blue Spruce Park which will be on your right.
If you are coming from another location it is easiest to get to Blue Spruce Park off of Rt. 119. Whether you are coming from the N. or S. you will want to take the PA-110 W ramp toward Creekside. Follow the signs for PA-110. Continue on PA-110 until you reach the Blue Spruce Park Entrance which will be on your right.
Once you enter Blue Spruce Park look for the parking lot for pavilions 1 & 2 and park there. Walk over to pavilion 1 and continue to the water’s edge. You will follow the trail along the water to your right. Continue following the trail along the water’s edge over a bridge and past a play ground. The trail will then turn to the left and pass over another bridge. Once you pass over this second bridge look for a trail your right. Take this trail until you reach a bench. Standing next to the bench you will look slightly off to your right and find a stump (about 8 steps from the bench) of a fallen and decaying tree next to the stream. Inside this stump is your letterbox. Please bring a stamp pad with you when you go to this letterbox because it does not have one. This letterbox contains a two part stamp as the find so make sure you stamp both and feel free to stamp the balloons more than once
