Forest Park has always been an active place. Swimming, go-cart racing, tennis courts, summer baseball, golfing, 4th of July carnivals, Popcorn fesivals and Sunday evening band concerts. The squirrels have a special place in the hearts of many who visit this park. Some people who live in Brazil even take "left over" nuts and corn to the park in the fall to ensure the squirrels have plenty to eat in the winter. This stamp is honoring this "treasured" part of Forest Park.
CLUE TO "GETTING SQUIRRELY" LETTERBOX:
Enter Forest Park from State Road 59 and find Shelter #10. Park here and walk across long wooden bridge. Continue following sidewalk and walk through several more wooden bridges until you come to the Gazebo. Walk along ball diamond fence toward scoreboard until you come to 1st telephone pole. Stop and look towards the right and spy 2 stone and concrete pillars. You will find your treasure in the 2nd pillar.
This is a very busy park, retrieve and hide carefully.
