DON’T GET STUMPED LETTER BOX
AT BRETZFELDER PARK
by Woodland Community School
1) From the sign for the Nature Trail at the upper parking lot, walk the Nature Trail to the third bridge.
2) Begin at the end of the bridge closest to the pond, walk the trail back toward the junction with the trail to the pond.
3) On your way by, notice a big stump with part torn off.
4) Go to the sign with information about "A Memorial Park".
5) There is a big birch tree and young beech tree about three feet apart. See if you can find something very unusual about the roots of the birch tree.
6) Walk upstream along the path, to a tall stump that does not look comfortable to sit on.
7) Continue upstream along the trail, passing some more stumps. Some are low, so ifthere's snow you won't see them.
7) You'll soon see a prickly pointy stump ahead on the left.
8) The red-topped letterbox is completely hidden within reach of the stump!
