Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 600 yards RT)

The Willow Oak Recreation Area is on the Toledo Bend Reservoir in Sabine National Forest. It is an upland forest providing habitat for many birds, including several warbler species, such as the Pine Warbler. Though willow oaks are a dominant feature, other habitats include mature mixed pine/hardwoods, lake shore, freshwater marshes, and hardwood sloughs. It is part of the Angelina Sabine Loop described on the Prairies & Pineywoods Wildlife Trail - East map.
Directions:
From Hemphill, go south on Hwy 87 about 14 miles to Willow Oak Recreation Area sign on the west (right). Go east (left) into the park. NOTE: The bridge has been fixed and the park is now open.
Clues:
Walk across the bridge if it is still closed to cars for about 300 yards to the fee station sign on the right. Standing at the right side of the sign, walk behind it for about 20 steps between 2 pine trees to a 3-trunk tree. The camo microbox is in the crotch about 1 foot high under pine cones. Please rehide well.
