Begin your search at Hartman Park in Lyme.
Access: Gungy Rd., 1 mile north of Beaver Brook Rd.
Remarks: 300–acre woodland with numerous trails; connects with East Lyme portion of Nehantic State Forest.

-Start at the main gate and continue on the silver trail
-Continue uphill to the bench area, stop at the bullitten board, face 100 degrees, and continue following orange and green markers
-Stop after the stone bridge, follow the rock wall uphill at 120 degrees
-Stop at the tree with 5 trunks and the orange marker
-Continue to follow the rock wall over the hill
-Stop when the rock wall converges with the trail, head 110 degrees over the rock covered hill.
-Continue over the hill & Follow the rock wall
-Find the break in the wall at the top of the hill & stop, face directly north and continue down the side of the hill.
-Stop at the opening to the large 3 sided foundation of justice, face 60 degrees and you should see a small trail, follow it up the hill
-Continue on the trail until the break in the rock wall, go 115 degrees to the rock mound.
-Look for a butterfly at the bottom of the rock mound.
