UPDATE 24 JUNE 07: I have decided to retire this box. Thanks to those who went out to find it and updated me on its status.

I did not want people to have to pay to get this stamp and the parking lot was too well maintained to hope this box would last long. Therefore, this letterbox is located at a park near the botanical gardens.
This box is located at MAHNCKE PARK.
To get to Mahncke Park travel south on Highway 281 to Hildebrand. Turn left onto Hildebrand and travel less than 1 mile to Broadway St. Turn right onto Broadway St. Travel about a 1/2 mile to Parland. Parland is a small street just before Funston Place. If you get to Funston Place you have gone too far. Turn left on Parland. On Parland there will be a fountain on your right and a school on your left. Keep driving past Milton St. Just past Milton Street on your left will be the corner of Bellview and Parland. Park near here on the street. Across from the corner of Bellview and Parland there will be a mulch path.
To get to the letterbox take the mulch path about 55 steps. To the left there will be a sideways growing tree about 8 steps off the path. Walk to this tree and locate the split in its trunk. Under the split between the trunk and the ground you will find the letterbox.
