This letterbox is currently missing! Will repost when we replace it. 3/1/2008
This letterbox is in celebration of my mom's 80th birthday! She is an incredible woman, wife, mother, and friend to many... A very young 80, we would all agree!
This letterbox has a hand-carved stamp made especially for her by our dear friend, Lisa. This place is one of the favorite "haunts" of my mom and dad. Please enjoy the beautiful view and a glass of wine...
P.S. Be sure to visit the box in Pebble Beach named "The Commander" in honor of my father.
Directions:
Head south on Highway 1 toward Big Sur from Carmel. Find the Rocky Point Restaurant along your way on the right hand side. Turn right and follow the drive to the lower left parking lot.
Park and take the pathway from the parking lot that heads directly south. Walk to the rock formation that is atop the hill. Look on the left hand side (as you're facing south) for a loose rock. The box is hidden behind the rock.
Please be discreet and hide the box well. Be careful on windy days as the gusts can be strong!
Enjoy!!
