This box was hidden in a hurry and under stressed conditions. I am not totally happy with where it is located and may move it in May or June of 2008.

When I first moved to the Quad-Cities in 1998 I worked for Bonnett's Wholesale Florist. The first route I learned was the Freeport Route. I actually knew Freeport's streets and landmarks better than I knew any of the Quad-Cities.

From 1999 until now my wife and I make an annually trek up to the Pretzel City for a day of Union Dairy and Krape Park fun. In fact, we considered even moving up to Freeport.

Though my days of driving for Bonnett's are long behind me, I figured I would honor those days of delivering flowers to one of my favorite cities with a letterbox.

CLUES;

Find Oakland Cemetery off of West Pearl City Road.

After entering the cemetery keep on the "Sunny Side" and you will see a soldier standing at attention on a pedestal.

He is keeping a watchful eye on our letterbox, see where he is looking? A stone wall with a locked door on the side of a hill.

Park in front of the locked door and climb up the left side. The flowers you seek are hidden behind a small rock NOT on the front facade but on the front of the long wall.

This box has a hand carved stamp, bring your own stamp pad.
