An invigorating hike of about four and a half (maybe five) miles round trip.

Drive to Bull’s Bridge on route 7 (anyway you wish) drive through the covered bridge, past the parking area, over the single lane bridge and just after you drive under a silver archway, look for any available place to park along the road. The trail you want is up a few wooden steps to the left of the road and marked with white blazes (there’s also a side street with no street sign at this point).

Stay on the white blaze trail (make sure you have a white blaze ahead of you at all times) going south on the Appalachian Trail. Walk far enough and you’ll be in Georgia but you don’t need to go that far for this box. After the first bit of trail, you’ll be walking along the Housatonic River, over a large bridge and then along Ten Mile River. As you leave the river behind you’ll be ascending Ten Mile Hill (it’s not ten miles high but might feel like it). Just before reaching the top (with a great view) watch for the Herrick Trail (blazed in blue) on your left. Walk a few hundred feet down the trail to find a tree on the left with both a blue blaze and a yellow circle (the yellow signifies leaving A.T. property). From this tree walk 22 steps to a tree with a tin disc with arrows on it. From this tree site 265 degrees, walk 20 steps (passing a tree with a dead thumb) to find the star behind a tree, in a cave with a quartz rock (if no one takes the quartz rock).

Thanks to all finders.
