The triforce has long been a symbol for one of video game's most prestigious series, The Legend of Zelda. Since its creation on February 21, 1986, eight games have been created. Although many people would recognize the triforce in an instant, few really know the full story behind this powerful relic. Most tend to claim that the triforce was created by the three goddesses of Hyrule. They are: Din, the goddess of power. Her fiery arms were said to shape Hyrule and created the fiery world. Nayru, the goddess of wisdom; She used her knowledge to give order to Hyrule. And last, but certainly not least, Farore, the goddess of courage, used her soul to create the creatures of Hyrule, who would uphold the law. The three goddesses then transformed into the triforce, which is why there are three pieces to it. If someone takes a piece of the triforce, a golden triangle will appear on the back of their hand. The triangle glows when two or more triforce bearers are near each other. The three pieces of the triforce have often been a symbol of one of the three main characters. The triforce of Courage is associated with Link, who has shown numerous times throughout the series that he can stand up to any daunting task. The triforce of Wisdom is associated with Zelda, the calm, intelligent ruler of Hyrule. The last piece of the triforce, the triforce of Power, is associated with Ganon, who wishes only to have ultimate power. This Triforce is located in Lost Creek Park, which is part of the Oyster Creek hike and bike trail with many soccer fields.
