The Sun has a diameter of 865000 miles. The Knoxville Sunsphere has a diameter of 74 feet. If the Sun were the same size as the Sunsphere and located in the same place, the planet Earth would orbit at a distance of 1.5 miles from the Sunsphere.

If you look up “Earth” in Douglas Adam’s The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, you will find this simple Entry:
Earth – Mostly Harmless.
It definitely needs a bit of expansion. So, your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to go find Earth and expound upon its virtues in the logbook.

You will find Earth near the only consistently available and Free Parking that the University of Tennessee has to offer. It is next to the UT Trial gardens on Neyland Drive. You will find it clearly marked “Visitor Parking” DO NOT PARK THERE UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO THE GARDENS.

Find the entrance to the garden, it moves as different student projects are built, but it should be close to the visitor parking. Wherever it is, you will eventually find a brick path that leads into the garden. The path sort of meanders down toward the river. Follow it all around heading west-ish until you see two large pergolas with wisteria vines. Pick the one that allows you to relax as you flow easily back and forth. Steady yourself and look to your left. Earth will be up or down or in the middle. Just put back the leaves when you’re done.

Currently the Vogons are doing construction somewhat near the Earth area, so it’s box may go missing, just like Arthur Dent’s house. If it does, please tell me.
