***This box was reported as missing, but was replaced on

The month of May is when we all celebrate our mothers. So for this series, I decided to offer some ideas for gifts for your mom. So, I hope you enjoy some of the places that I am taking you, and hopefully you will come up with some ideas of what to get that special mom.

I know this one might not make sense at first, as far as gifts go, but the gift my mom seems to ask from me every year is to go to church with her. She attends Afton Grove Baptist Church and this cemetery is maintained by the church. So maybe a good gift for your mom could be to attend church with her.

Now to the box, find your way to Afton Grove community, which is off of Hwy 79 between Jackonville and New Summerfield, and take county road 4209 to the Afton Grove Vinson Cemetery. Enter the cemetery and look for the two graves covered with iron ore rocks. Walk a straight line from these two graves to the back fence and you should be at a large hardwood tree right next to the back fence. The Mother's Day box is at the base of that tree
