Ever since I can remember, I have always disliked plastic and silk flowers that are placed at grave sites. I always try to carry fresh flowers or if the cemetery allowed, I have planted them. It’s just that those “bouquets” of fake flowers, remind me so much of what a magician or mime pulls out of his sleeve, once compacted and then “SPRINGING” to life…this is how the name “Pop-Up” flowers came to be. My family has agreed to grant me that last request…”No Pop-Up Flowers, Please”!!

Take Huffman Mill exit off of 40/85. Follow Huffman Mill Rd. until you reach the intersection with Front Street, turn left. This letterbox is located in the Magnolia Cemetery, a resting place full of big, beautiful magnolia trees. From Front St., turn right onto a gravel road just before the railroad tracks. Park under the shade of a big magnolia tree, at your first right (you'll see a set of trashcans).

With "Dawson is an open book" on your left, walk between the row of bushes and family plots, towards the street, approximately 52 paces. See the bench? Sit down, and relax. Look over your right shoulder, see the other bench? Go to it and sit. Enjoy the shade...there sure are a lot of roots coming from this Magnolia tree... See the small rock pile within the roots? Look underneath...

Please rehide well and thanks for visiting!!
