Placer Safari Man
This park is located near Marietta Oh. and if you will e mail Safari Man, by using the contact the placer function on LBNA or the mail feature on Atlas Quest he will send you a 90kb map of the park (you can also get one from ahistory) . Maybe this step will improve longevity of all the letterboxes in this park. (also note that the map is marked with gps way points for anyone wishing to use them for assistance in finding boxes or getting un lost). Also be aware of runners practicing on these trails along with joggers, dog walkers, scouts and letterboxers. Please look both ways on the trail before retrieving and replacing boxes.
NOTE: THIS BOX HAS BEEN REPORTED MISSING BY SEVERAL LETTERBOXERS!!!

I wish to thank Penguin Patrol for making this letterbox and allowing me to place it here, near Marietta for her.

From the west entrance of the park follow the Blue Trail until reaching the Green trail , passing some of the Ohio Endangered Species boxes as you go. At the intersection take a right and proceed along the green trail passing another of the Endangered Species boxes . Shortly you will have a dirt road coming in from the left (which goes to an oil well) where you will stay straight on the trail and notice the black oil or gas line a little ways to your right. Continue until you have another dirt road coming from the left (these last two dirt roads are not on the map) At this point you are quite close to ahistory's Oyster Log letterbox. To find the Cat Nap continue on the green trail, as you were going (about 200*) gradually going down hill until reaching a sharp rise in the trail. Continue up and over the crest, breaking out into a meadow and then reaching a trail post on the right. Go a little further and you will see a nice view and down below you a council ring fire pit and a shelter. This is as far as I traveled but if you go on down you will reach the main entrance to the park. But back to the Cat Nap letterbox. Do an about face and head back to that last trail post beside the trail in the meadow, passing it and then a road running down hill to the right and then at the edge of the woods, a cut off telephone pole base and on a little further a large 4 trunked tree on the right. From this tree count 21 steps on the trail, to another 5 trunked tree on the right and find the CAT NAP under a rounded piece of concrete behind this tree. Please check both ways to make sure you are unobserved as you fetch and replace the letterbox where and as you found it. Please reseal the baggies and container well and I hope you enjoyed the hunt and will write and tell me about it.
Cordially, Penguin Patrol and Safari Man
