This letterbox is located in the Sunnycrest Park in Eastwood. The park has a track, football/soccer field, baseball field, playground, golfcourse, icerink, skiing lodge, several gardens, and lovely trails to walk along. You can access this park by a variety of streets that dead-end into it. Intructions are assuming you are entering the park from Mariposa st on the northwest end of the park.

Enter through gate at the end of Mariposa street and turn left heading north up the paved path. At the top of the hill, the pavement will end and dump you into a green of the golfcourse. Go to the hole (watch out for incoming golfballs) and stand overlooking the sports facilities below to the south. Directly behind you is two stone pillars marking a stairway. Go down the first set of steps and turn left. Take 50 single step paces. Then, turn around if you look closely you will see an "elephant" that graciously volunteered to guard my letterbox. If you don't see him at first look again he has a habit of sleeping on the job so he might be lying down with his "trunk" resting against a tree.

Please be sure to replace any implements that have served to keep this letterbox from being washed downhill should we get a downpour... I know never happens in Syracuse...
