French Park is located at the intersection of Ridge Road & Section Road near Amberly Village.
Park in the lower parking lot as you enter the park.
From the parking lot locate the Events sign .
From the sign go North up the hill into the woods .Be sure to take the graveled trail on the right .
This is a very popular dog walking park. So for the first few hundred
feet watch out for >> Doggie land mines << you have to step lively.
You will be going up the trail (620 paces) to the last trail on your right.
Take that trail 60º bearing for (55 ) paces.
If you go over the wooden foot bridge, you have gone too far !
At ( 11 ) paces before the foot bridge to your left is a fallen rotted
log lying at a bearing of 320º (N-W ).You might have an interest in that old nasty, rotten log.
After stamping, please place the letterbox as you found it.
If you are up for a good hike continue across the foot bridge and you will be on a loop trail that will take you down to the creek bed. You can follow the creek back to the parking lot.
As I was hiking through the woods to place this box I was entertained by a Great Horned Owl circling above a field looking for his next meal.
And as I was leaving a Red Fox darted across a trail in front of me. Stay alert !
Thanks, franzsolo...
