Indiana is known to have some great fishing. I have found a location to hide my letterbox in one of the state's few pay lakes, which offers some of the best catfish and carp fishing in America. I am part of the Turkey Jerky Troop #48 of the Girl Scouts of Indiana.

First, be sure to call the lake to make sure that they are open (219) 865-1234.

Starting at the intersection of Route 30 (Lincoln Hwy.) and Route 41 (Indianapolis Blvd.), take Route 30 going East to Cline Avenue. Turn left (or North) onto Cline Ave. Take this to Joliet St. and go right (East). Take this to Broad St. and go left (North). Less than a mile down on Broad St. you will see a lake and sign that reads "Fish-A-While Lake". Turn right into the gravel drive and park. Proceed to the red building with a white awning where tickets and bait can be purchased. Walk past the ticket window under the awning to the back of the building. Follow the dirt road to the right about 37 paces up the grass embankment. You will see a large oak tree with a hole in its trunk. Continue up the grassy hill to this tree and look inside its trunk. Be careful not to fall into the creek below!

After you have found the box, please carefully place it back in the tree trunk so that it is well-disguised. Happy hunting!!
