Go to the Phoenix Mountains Preserve located at 40th Street and Shea.
Look for the trail map and sign which is at the far end of the parking lot (farthest from the rest rooms).
You will see a brown sign indicating the trail.
Take the path to the right of the sign which is bordered by a wire fence.
Continue on the path across a river rock bed.
Further on the path forms a "Y".
Continue towards the left at the “Y”.
Roof tops are visible towards the right.
The trail veers to the left.
Pass three saguaro cactus which are the closest to the trail on the left side.
From the third saguaro continue 100 steps along the path.
To your left you will see a paloverde tree.
The box is hidden at the base of the tree under stones.
While you are out enjoying the Preserve and the beautiful Arizona weather, check out the other letter boxes hidden in the Preserve: Strawberry Box (which is actually on the way to Mariposa), Moon Box, Happy Face, and Flower Box (which you will find at the entrance at the other end of the parking lot near the restrooms).
