Difficulty: Easy
Time: 15 minutes. Distance ~ 200 yards round trip
Please bring your stamp, a stamp pad, compass, pen and an old rag to wipe off the box/your hands.

The "Safari Man- On The Highway/ and Interstate" series depicts things one might see as they drive the highways of the U.S. These are targeted mainly for rest stops but might pop up anywhere. This letterbox is titled FREE COFFEE. Happy traveling!

Clues: Traveling eastbound on I-44 , between Springfield and Rolla, find the rest stop at about the 178 mm. Pull into the trucks only rest area and drive up to the gate where cars can no longer go. From there walk in a straight line direction to two evergreens close together, One is close to the fence with one on its right. Look around to assure you are unobserved then go between the trees to the trunks and look to the right for some FREE COFFEE hanging near that trunk about 4-5 feet above ground. Untwist the wire wrapped around the limb and go back to your car for some stamping. After stamping go relieve yourself to make time between then and your return to the tree.
Please be discrete when retrieving and replacing this box since the woods are sparse and you might be viewable from the picnic tables and cars located not far away. When done stamping in, please replace the box as you found it and make sure the zippers for the baggies are closed securely. And if you have time, please be so kind as to let me know the condition of the letterbox by contacting the placer at the top of this clue page. Glad to be of service!!, Glenn/Safari Man...of Vincent, Ohio.
