Sorry, this box hasn't been out long and it's already missing. Will have to re-think the location and post it later. I'll mark it as missing for now and will archive it very soon.

This letterbox is placed in honor of the Pleasant Run Trail, one of Indianapolis' many "green ways". The Pleasant Run Trail starts on the East side of town in Ellenberger Park and ends at this southside park that shares a name with a famous cartoon cat. Your clue starts at this park.

All park hours are dawn to dusk, unless otherwise noted.

Indy Parks currently maintains and operates 169 park properties in Indianapolis and Marion County. For more information check out this link http://www.indygov.org/eGov/City/DPR/Parks/home.htm

You will want to park at the Burello Family Center on the northwest corner of this park, off Pagoda Drive. The Burello Family Center (and adjacent aquatic park) hours are: Mon. & Wed. 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Tues. & Thurs. 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Fri. 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Sun. CLOSED.
Park at the back of the lot, near the basketball court. Look for a green metal bridge to the northeast and head for this bridge. Cross it and continue in a northeast direction through the parking lot with the playground and shelter on your right. Look ahead, do you see a sign with green and white stripes? Cross the road at the crosswalk and note that the sign indicates the Pleasant Run Trail. Follow the winding path from this sign toward the wooden boardwalk. Cross under Raymond Street, enjoy the shade, and stop when you come to the end of the boardwalk. Now, go around the wooden rail on the right and look down. Hidden under the boardwalk, covered in white rocks is your "Pleasant Find." I hope you enjoy my first letterbox. Please let me know through this site if the box is damaged or missing. As always, please re-hide well and avoid "muggles".
