The Boylston Town Common is located on Route 70 approximately 2 miles from the intersection of Routes 70 and 140 at Church Street and Main Street.
The Boylston Public Library will be on one side of the Common and the First Congregational Church of Boylston will be on the other side. Park at the First Congregational Church.
Stand on the front steps of the church.
Walk down the stairs and cross Church Street directly under One Way sign.
Look for the monument dedicated to soldiers in 1937 and stand directly in front of it.
Turn so that monument is directly behind you now and walk to flag pole.
If flag is flying, say the Pledge of Allegiance (we are Girl Scouts after all).
Walk around to Gazebo and stand inside facing the Boylston Public Library.
Look for 2 large pine trees in the left corner of the Town Common.
Walk to the pine trees.
Turn to your left so that the pine trees are now on your right and cross back over Church Street to the sidewalk.
Go under the other One Way sign and turn to your right.
Proceed down sidewalk and go under the Church Street sign posted on a light pole.
There will be a stone wall on your left. Stay along that.
Look for a break in the stone wall.
There will be a cement marker with WCH engraved on it.
Proceed into the woods.
Look for a birch tree on your right.
At the birch, go about 6 paces straight up the hill and then turn to your left.
Find a tree with 5 trunks.
The Letterbox is hidden in the middle.
This Letterbox was placed by Junior Girl Scout #74.
All 13 of us will be checking it regularly so please handle it with care. We hope you enjoyed finding it as much as we enjoyed hiding it!
