Harry Houdini Letterbox
The letterbox is at Meeting House Swamp. Locate the area on the map and make your way there. Here are step by step directions if it makes you feel more comfortable:

Follow the parking lot all the way to the end past the ball field on your right. You should see a kiosk at the end of the lot. To the left will be the main entrance to the reservation and to the right will be a gated fire road entrance. The gated fire road entrance is where you will be going.

Make your way past the fire road gate and pass to the right of the red brick building. Walden Pond will soon come into view. It will be to your left as you enter Ox Pasture Road. Follow Ox Pasture Road and you will soon pass a beautiful view of the pond. Just past the view you will start to head downhill slightly. Then in sequence you will pass intersection E5-3, a very large boulder, and intersection E5-2 all on your right. Continue on the main road as it starts to bear right along the water and into a cove.

At the end of the cove the road will open up to a wide, slightly eroded area. Continue on the road just a few more steps and you will see a trail leading off to the left at Intersection E5-1 (Overlook Trail).

Follow Overlook trail bearing left around the end of the cove. You will come to a long boardwalk. Cross the boardwalk and continue. At Intersection D5-8 (fork) bear right. After a short walk slightly uphill, the trail will open up and you will be at Intersection D4-3. Turn left and after a short distance you will come to a "T" (Intersection D4-2).

Turn right at Intersection D4-2. When you come to Intersection D4-4 stay to the right. Very quickly you will come to a very large lichen covered boulder on your left. When you see this boulder, you will also see the sign for "Meeting House Swamp". Another few steps you will see the end of a very long boardwalk crossing the swamp.

Follow the boardwalk to the other end. When you reach the other end, look for the second "Meeting House Swamp" sign. Harry Houdini is being held captive at the base of the tree with the sign.

It was very hard finding a good hiding spot in this area and you can tell that I may not have found a good spot. Please take a few extra seconds to rehide carefully.

From here, if you listen very carefully, you might just hear a very scary frog. I hope you did your pre-hike homework!

If you have no other boxes to look for and you want to return to your car. Just retrace your steps.
