From the intersection of Rt 6 and Rt 203 in North Windham, turn onto Rt 203 towards Windham Center. Almost immediately you will see parking on both sides of the road for the entrances to the trail. On the right the trail goes out to the Windham Atlantic White Cedar Bog. Park on the left, near the base of Beaver Hill Road. You will be walking a short way on this side of the trail. Go around the metal gate and walk until you reach a wooden bridge which goes over a road. If you have young ones with you The Kaluga Kid highly recommends acting out the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff as you go over. When you reach The end of the bridge's guard rail count 20 paces along the trail from the left side. (The guard rail is a little bit shorter on that side). Stop and look to your right. You will see a large rock jutting out toward the trail. There is another large rock above it and a tree with a bird house nailed to it. You need to go up to the first rock, the one closer to the trail. Look under its overhang on the side facing the trail. To the left you will see several small stones. Move these and look way under for the Second Billy Goat Gruff. Stamp in descreetly rehide well and return to the trail. We hope you enjoy this box. We walk this trail often and hope to check in with our friend often!
