The Snake Charmer is located in Oconto Riverside Park. The park is located about 1 mile north of the Shawano-Oconto county line on hwy BB. The fire number of the park is 5277. This place is very special to us as Odradek's family cabin is located on the Oconto river about 4 miles away.

Park your car near the boat launch, and find a marker with geological survey information. Note the number of years of service of Lawrence A. Martens. (A)______

Enter the picnic pavilion. From the southeast corner of the pavilion, take a gravel path that leads to a fishing area. Turn left to take a path that leads downstream and passes under an area nested by many swallows during the spring and summer months.

Pass under and continue downstream. The day we hid the box, a male duck danced and flopped around in the water for more than 5 minutes, trying to distract us from a trail of 6 TINY ducklings following their mother down the trail!

Follow a winding path that slithers through the trees. (A) number of paces from the place where you enter the woods, look to your right to see a tree with many trunks and lots of debris beneath it, the perfect place for a snake to hide. Examine the river side of the tree for the box.
