On April 28,1895 Effie Morehouse of Charlton Hamlet died at the young age of 20. She left a will in which she requested her brother, Frank, to build a vault for her burial. He purchased two lots for the vault and saw to it's constuction, a final resting place for his sister. It has become one of Charlton's landmarks .You can see the vault from the main road up on the hill on the right side of the cemetery. Drive into the cemetery and bear right up the hill. park your car next to the JENNE gravestone on your left. Check out the old, historic vault, built with brotherly love for Effie. Behind the vault on the hill find DOCTOR DAVID LOW'S gravestone . Face the stone and look right to the pine tree in line with the stone. Look BEHIND the tree at it's base under pine needles and a good sized rock.
PLEASE Rehide well, replacing the pine needles and rock.
