Quentin Tarantino Series

***This series has been removed for a little while until I can find a new place to plant them. The park did some renovationas and I lost 2 boxes***

Doug and Steve Butabi made this town famous in 1998, with a little movie called A Night At The Roxbury

Quentin has a written/produced/and directed a new film called “Inglorious Bastards.” I hope to insure Quentin the best of luck with this movie in 2008 by hidding this series at the luckiest lake in New Jersey... Horseshoe Lake

This series has 4 hand carved stamps each representing an all star Tarantino movie (Jackie Brown, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Kill Bill). This lake is very busy and open, please be careful and please be discreet.

Clues: Easy
Time: 30-45 mins
Easy walk, and flat terrain

Upon entering the lake, proceed down the “road” and make first right. Continue and park on left near picnic tables. You will know you are in the right spot if the a mini railroad is in front of your car.

Box #1- Jackie Brown (1997)
“Six players on the trail of a half a million in Cash. There's only one question... Who's playing who?”

Start at what looks like a jungle gym. Walk to your right where a rotted stump is. From stump travel 40 paces towards and past the grove B sign. Spot the railroad at your right and walk toards it. Stop at tree with a stump. Into that stump is what you seek.

Box #2- Pulp Fiction (1994)
“Just because you are a character doesn't mean you have character.”

Continue back out to the road only a few paces away. Walk with the railroad on right. Turn in on the first left. See the beautiful lake in front of you. Go right and pass a stone ledge. Find the dirt path and follow until you come to monument on the right. Go and look at the monument if you like (but it’s not necessary for this box). Walk along the path till a brick bridge & wooden bridge. Cross one and go out onto the tip of this peninsula. Look for a lone bench on the tip. On the right of this bench is a tree. Look around the tree for the treasure you seek.

Box #3- Kill Bill (2003/2004)
“Here comes the bride”

Continue back our to the wooden or brick bridge. Continue along the edge of the lake on your left. Cut across the clearing to the wooden stage. With your back to the back of the gazebo look right. A big tree all alone stands there. Go to it and in the tree is what you desire.

Box #4- Reservoir Dogs (1992)
“Seven Total Strangers Team Up For The Perfect Crime. They Don't Know Each Other's Name. But They've Got Each Other's Color”

Continue your travels on the gravel. Walk through the parking lot to the other side. You will see the monument again on your right. Walk on the grass or path with the railroad on left. Look for a tree towards the road dedicated to Julia E. by the PTA Mom’s. If you see her, you are on the right track. Pass the stone ledge again and completely cross the clearing in front of you. Stand on the mini railroad facing where your car should be parked. Look over your right shoulder and see a cluster of small green plants. Under a piece of wood is what you week.

Happy Boxing!
