###### Temporarily unavailable - in for repairs #######

This box was placed by Girl Scout Troop 167 to introduce others to the rich history of East Goshen Township.

This is the second of two boxes. Please seek our first box, Blacksmith's Neighbor to enjoy the whole experience.
You will need a small tool to dig with at the end of this clue.

If you have about 25 minutes - take the scenic route below.

From Blacksmith's Neighbor, follow the wooden boadwalk to the right of the Plank house. At the end of the wooden boadwalk, walk forward until you see a paved walk way on your right. Follow that walkway, it will cross E.Boot Road. The walkway continues on the other side of the road for approximately 1/2 mi. It will cross a roadway that is part of a corporate park. after crossing the roadway follow the path to the left. In about a 1/4 mile the paved pathway will veer of the the right - do not follow the path - continue forward along the roadway. In about a 1/4 mi. the roadway will meet at a flashing light with Paoli Pike. Directly across the street you will see a sign for East Goshen Park. Cross the street and follow the paved pathway you will come upon on the left. Follow this path until you are at the Pavillion. Walk through the Pavillion until a you cross a bridge near the playgound. Follow the clue directions below.

If you do not have 25 minutes here is a shortcut.....

Exit the Blacksmith Shop area. Make an immediate left onto E. Boot Road. At the stop sign, make a right onto North Chester Road (Rt. 352) Proceed to the first light at the intersetion with Paoli Pike. Make a Right onto Paoli Pike. Follow Paoli Pike approximately 1/4 mi. until the entrance to East Goshen Park on your Left. Enter East Goshen Park and park in the area between the baseball fields and the playground.

CLUE DIRECTIONS:

Take a swing on the swing, slide down the slide of the wooden pirate ship. Look ahead and you will find a paved path. Walk on the path away from the bridge. Now you will pass under a leafy canopy, continue pass pointy pines, pass six wooden seats finally crossing the bridge into the entrance of the place where squirels play.

Look for the tree with 7 trunks. Now follow the road not taken so often to the left. Pass over the fallen tree. Pass another 7 trunk tree on your right. Walk approximately 40 paces and look for a path on your right with a boulder at it's end. (be careful of poison ivy and ticks when the season is right !)

Take a break on the boulder and contemplate the large tree. Walk halfway around the tree. Look at your feet. Like a squirrel who buries his treasure, we have buried ours in the cave of the tree.

Enjoy !!!!
