Come Watson, come to Mason Neck State Park in Lorton, VA. 22079 Start at the Bayview Trail Loop, the game is afoot. Follow the fence on the right, continue down the steps, pause on the bridges for the beautiful views Watson across Belmont Bay. Come on Watson, come on, notice the marsh land on the right. Walk along the trail, do you see any Canadian Geese? Walk up the stairs, notice a large downed log on the left. On the left of a dead skinny tree is a woodpile. Speak up Watson, speak up, standing here take a compass reading of 150 degrees, walk 16 paces and hidden inside the hollow tree is what you seek. Go back to the trail and continue on ahead. Stop for a respite Watson at The Scott Jones Shelter. Go on Watson, please hurrry up along the trail, notice it narrows as you walk between a double tree gate. Pause to notice any wildlife in the marshland sitting on the bench. Pass downed logs and join the Bayview main trail. (see signpost) Pass a hollow tree stump on the right. Do you notice anything peculiar about this area Watson? Take a compass reading by the elongated dead tree stump on the right of 80 degrees. Walk 14 paces into the woods to the large double tree, look around and walk 5 paces to the stump, take a compass reading by stump, 130 degrees, walk 17 paces to the base of a large tree lying on its side. Reach into the cranny and there is what you seek. Retrace your steps and come on Watson, the chase is on. Walk thru beautiful woods and across a wooden walkway. If we knew where the large tree tunnel is Watson, we would be a whole deal closer to the solution of the crime. 16 paces from the tree tunnel on the left, walk 280 degrees to a hollow log by the base of a large tall tree. Solve the case. Continue along Watson to where it all began.
