Once upon a time, there was a boy and a girl who lived in Mississippi. They went to school together and eventually became sweethearts. After graduation, the boy joined the Air Force and the girl went to business school. They decided to get married and moved to Roswell where the boy was being stationed (Walker Air Force Base). The boy became an Airman and the girl got a job as a secretary. This was the first time the newlyweds had been this far away from home before, but they made some good friends and were able to go back home for visits. After the Airman finished his 4 years, they left Roswell and eventually settled in Texas where I was born. I have always been so proud of my Dad for serving his country, and I grew up playing dress-up with my Mom’s sexy, pointy, high heel shoes she saved from her secretary days. Therefore, this box is in honor of my parents.

To get to the park, start at the intersection of 2nd and Union streets, then travel north on Union. Go to the entrance on the left, which has a large stone archway. From the archway, drive to the swimming pool and park on the left.

1) The Airman
You should see a rock wall in front of you. On the other side of the rock wall is a sunken garden area. Make your way to the bridge between the two fountains. Stand on the bridge with your back to the swimming pool. Turn to your left and go up the steps and you will see a large cedar tree. The Airman is waiting for his sweetie in the middle of the tree under debris.

2) The Secretary - Reported Missing
Go back to the bridge and again position yourself with your back to the swimming pool. Turn right and go up the steps and find another large cedar tree. The Secretary is playing hard-to-get in the middle of this tree under debris.

3) The Newlyweds
Go back to the bridge once more with your back to the swimming pool. Look for the rock wall straight ahead. Begin turning to your left until you see a stone bench at the "corner" of the sunken garden area. Walk to that stone bench and sit down. Once you are sitting, slide to your left and feel for the Newlyweds under the ivy at the corner of the bench and the stone wall where they’ve snuck off for a little smooch.

Please be extra careful to avoid being observed and recover the boxes well, as I am out of state and will rarely be able to check on them.
