Oakland Hill Cemetery #2

*Please read note at bottom*

This is the second of the Oakland Hill Cemetery series and the only way to do this one is to have completed the first one! However this box is significantly more difficult than the first box. For this letterbox I’m using trivial pursuit style questions that you will need to answer in order to move from clue to clue. I will tell you now that you are going to need a good set of eyes because you will be looking for gravestones in order to answer my questions; but do not worry too much, I tried to pick fairly easy-to-read stones using the large family names on them as opposed to individual peoples names.

At the time that I went out to place this box I had already designed the first box and found the hiding spot for the third box. However, I had no idea where to place the second box. I knew where I was going to start from (where the first box ended) so that’s where I began. From there I simply started looking around for stones that I could make good clues out of and the only reason that I’m telling you this is so that you will know the reason for the extreme zig-zagging and winding nature of this trail. I had NO IDEA where I was going to place this box so I just figured “oh well!” and went for it. Hope you enjoy this wild goose chase and please remember to be discrete if other people are in the cemetery. Have fun!

The Clues:
• Start from where letterbox #1 ends.
• Come out of the woods and look for a very large stone with a person standing on top.
• From this stone look back towards where letterbox #1 started. In your immediate vicinity there are two cross shaped stones, go to the fancier of the two.
• From here look towards the woods for the last name (plus one letter but still pronounced the same) of the front man of the band Foo Fighters who is also the former drummer of the band Nirvana.
• Go left to the last name of a certain sitcom series whose theme song is “Cleveland Rocks!”
• From here you are looking for the mystical thing which supplies all Jedi with their powers.
• There is a certain type of “Old No. 7” Tennessee brewed whiskey named after its founder. His first name is Jack, go to his last name.
• But wait! If you look close there are two stones with the same name on them, however they are not too far apart so make your guess and the next clue will tell you if you were right or not.
• About face. You are looking for a car company whose slogan is “Grab Life by the Horns.”
• From here you are now looking for Tom Hanks’ friend from the movie Cast Away. Hint--if you made the wrong choice about whiskey earlier, you were close to this stone before.
• While still visiting with Tom’s friend look for WOOD but do not go to him yet. He is merely a helper to line you up with the location of box #2.
• Go past the stone wood and go to the live wood, box #2 is behind it and under a flat stone.

Please store the box back in its upright position and place the rock back exactly where it was. Also if you notice that you left a distinct path through the leaves please do your best to cover your tracks.

*NOTE: This box has been pulled due to damaged box and a log book that more closely resembled a sponge. This box will be replaced (with an improved container), unfortunately that will not happen until the second to last week in June 09 due to myself being away for school. To find box #3 you must still go through the steps of box #2 because one begins where another ends.
Please check back towards the end of June, I will update as soon as the box is replaced.
