Every Thursday morning from 8am-12noon (May throught November) there's a Farmer's Market at Mason District Park. After placing these - of course we loaded up on fruits and veggies - but no bunnies....

After entering the park, use the left side parking lot. Start on the trail that begins by THE POND sign. Head up the left side of the pond towards the playground. Take the dirt trail down, and then on the other side of the playground, go downhill on the trail (left).

At EXPLORE THE CHANGING LAND, start out down the right hand trail.

Continue left on the gravel path past COUNTRY RICHES. Just after the meadow ends, look for a small animal trail to the left. There is a tree with a large cleft off to the left with ropes of twisty vine hanging about it. Look in the cleft under the barks and sticks for Watermelon Bunny.

Pass TRANSITIONS on your right and continue straight at the trail fork. Pass by the bridge on your left and beware the VIOLENCE OF THE RAINDROP. Cross the boardwalk with its mini-bridge and go straight on past the ROAD TO GREEN SPRING FARM.

Starting at the tree marked with the green asterik, take 19 paces ending at a wooden trail support. Up to your right there is a fallen log resting on its stump. Use that as a pointer to a pile of sticks behind a tree 7 steps away. Look under the sticks for Strawberry Bunny.

Continue uphill as the trail curves right past ARTIFACTS. Take the right-hand trail at the lichen-covered tree in the middle of the trail. After CLUES IN NATURE, take a left at the trail fork.

Once upon a time, Banana Bunny and the friendly Blueberry Bonus Bunnies lurked along this stretch of the trail. They've gone missing, alas. I've left the instructions below to help you find your way out of the park...

[Keep an eye out for a small tree growing right at the edge of the path - just beyond that is a large double tree in a cleared area just off the trail to the right.

Take a bearing of 180 to a double tree with one of the trunks broken off. The 180 bearing also marks the middle of the X of two fallen trees lying across each other. Just like on a pirate map - X marks the spot: in a niche where they cross, you'll find Banana Bunny.]

To find your way out - continue on, crossing a boardwalk before THE LAND CONNECTION. Continue on the right fork over another boardwalk bridge and then right over a railed bridge. Here the path changes to asphalt. Continue on keeping the pine stand on your left and you'll come out by the tennis courts.
