Clues

Have removed in case of spring flooding. Will replace on April 21st after 3 PM.

Follow route 102 on Mount Desert Island to Somesville. Turn off onto Oak Hill Road and immediately take a left into a small parking area. Follow the path past the small white building labeled "museum and gardens" and cross the white bridge paying attention to the suggested number of people for it. Walk around the tiny white building #1119 (looks like a gate house) to where you will find two large granite millstones. The plaque on one of these states, "Near this spot the first house in Somesville was erected by Abraham Somes. In 1761 he sailed up the Sound..." Walk past these and along the tiny building checking under it as you go. You will find your treasure hidden under the building behind a granite support piling. Please be careful this is a "famous" spot for picture taking and there is a lot of traffic passing by. Don't forget to take you own pictures before you go! Happy Travels! :)
