*****This box has been recently reported missing, hopefully we can replace it soon , I will remove this message when we do. ******

North Park is located in the city of Brunswick. It is a pleasant park with a lake for fishing, a pavillion, several picnic tables, playground and walking trail.

Placed in honor of Independence Day!

Equipment Needed: pen, ink pad , compass
Difficulty: Easy
Time 25 minutes

Driving Directions:

From I-71 , exit Route 303 in Brunswick and head west to N. Carpenter Rd. Make a right (north) on N. Carpenter and go about 2 miles to Grafton Rd and make a left (west) on Grafton. About 1000 feet on the right is the park entrance. It has a very narrow entrance driveway that is easy to miss.

Clues:

From the parking lot head to the Park Information Board. From here head north on the paved path towards the lake. The path splits , go to the right heading around the lake. Travel over a wooden bridge and continue on the paved path until you come to a steel bridge on the other side of the lake. From the steel bridge look North-east and you will see a tall mound, climb up the mound and stand on top.
From on top of the mound, take a compass reading of 25 degrees and head in that direction towards the "V" shaped tree. Near the tree you will see a path that splits, go to the left into the woods. Travel over a wooden bridge and continue on the trail, look for a wooden marker on the left for "Magnolia Drive" and STOP! At the marker the path splits, you will be going on the path to the left. From the "Magnolia Drive" marker count 162 single steps and then STOP! Take a compass reading of 355 degrees and take 12 single paced steps to a tree with about 7 medium sized trunks growing together. The Pirate's treasure lays here.

Please stamp our log book and your own.
Please re-hide the box well, so it is not visable.

You can continue on down the trail and it will soon lead you right back to the lake.

Please record your find on www.letterboxing.org

Thanks for letterboxing with The Pirates!
